Cardinal Counseling accepts United Healthcare (except UMR) and private pay at this time. Some of the benefits of private pay therapy include:  privacy.  No need to have an official diagnosis in your insurance records.

A super bill is a summary of services that can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement of fees if you are trying to use out of network benefits or need it for ESA funds.

Cardinal Counseling offers a variety of counseling services including individual therapy for ages 12 and up.

During your first session with Cardinal Counseling, your therapist will ask you questions to get to know you better and understand what brings you to counseling. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the counseling process.

A counseling session with Cardinal Counseling typically lasts for 50 minutes, although session length may vary depending on your specific needs and preferences.

The No Surprises Act was designed to protect consumers from receiving unexpected medical bills from out of network providers.  Under the provisions of this act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must give their clients who do not have insurance or who are not using their insurance, an estimate of the bill for their treatment:

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.  This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

If you received a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. 

Please be sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.
